I tutor the IB Extended Essay and usually work with students who have a topic but are not quite sure how to turn it into a research question. My lessons cover planning, source selection, structure, referencing and supervisor feedback. I’m especially useful in the middle stage, when the essay needs to move from notes into a proper academic argument.

Hi, I help IB students with the Extended Essay from the “I have no idea where to start” stage through to final edits. I’m quite practical in lessons: we look at the research question, paragraph order, evidence and whether the reflection actually sounds like the student. I also check referencing and word count issues without rewriting the essay for them.

I’ve supported IB Extended Essay students across humanities and social science topics for several years. My focus is on research design, argument clarity and keeping the essay aligned with the assessment criteria. I often help students refine broad ideas into manageable questions, then build a clear plan before they start drafting the main body.

I tutor the IB Extended Essay only, so my sessions stay focused on the exact requirements of the course. Students usually come to me for help with narrowing a topic, organising sources or making the introduction and conclusion do more work. I’m also familiar with the RPPF and spend time making sure reflections are specific rather than vague.

My IB Extended Essay tutoring is for students who need steady guidance but still want the work to sound like their own. I help with research questions, essay plans, academic phrasing, citations and final polishing. I’m particularly comfortable with English, History and Global Politics essays, where the argument can easily become too descriptive.

I work with IB students on the Extended Essay, mainly at the planning and redrafting stages. I like starting with a short outline, then testing whether each section actually answers the research question. Lessons often involve source evaluation, paragraph-level feedback and cleaning up the bibliography. I keep the advice direct, because the EE can get messy fast.
